Visible vs. invisible hand of the market

The thesis deals with an analysis of government interventions in modern economy which will enable to evaluate the economic reality with respect to the role of the visible versus invisible hand of market. Firstly, the concepts concerning the visible and invisible hand of market are defined theoretically. It is especially capitalism and its individual kinds, the difference between these kinds and state capitalism, a particular case of state capitalism and a description of Czech economy transformation. Then, with help of a selected institution the Heritage Foundation, index of economic freedom in selected countries in the world is characterized and investigated with help of four main pillars, which are the rule of law, government size, regulatory efficiency and market openness. Each pillar is characterized by three component freedoms. The resulting data clearly present the harmony importance of economic freedom and economic growth in each of compared countries. The stage of a democratic regime and a level of political situation in the state are the next possible solution.
Regulation of socio-pathological phenomena in the region

The main theme of the work is the issue of gambling. The research is analyzed several aspects  of the gaming market in the context of the historical development, current legislation and the  viewpoint of the interests and behavior of actors. The offer for the gaming market is very  wide. The work deals with gaming machines that pose the greatest risk for pathological  gambling. Of the methods used are significant analysis of pathological gambling, analysis of legislation,  analysis of actors. The thesis analyzes based on the survey. The work presented concrete  measures that can provide a solution to pathological gambling.
The development of rail infrastructure in the second half of the 19th century, with accent on building local railways

The thesis is based on the development of the rail infrastructure in the Habsburg monarchy in the second half of the 19th century with regard to repetitive interventionist tendencies of the state in this area. Particular emphasis will be accentuated on spontaneous building local railways, the research uses available archival materials. Thesis includes an analysis of the state's approach to the construction of railways, which reflects the contemporary legislation and characteristics of the business environment. The thesis compares the activities of private companies (based on the profit calculation) and the activities of the state and local authorities (based on strategic targets: military, economic, or development objectives). The ratio of these activities, but also their intensity, was affected also by the phase of economic cycle and this cycle had its political and economic roots. The work also concerns the problem of public goods.
Nationalization processes in Czechoslovakia on the example of CKD

The work deals with the nationalization in 1945 and its subsequent effects on the example of Czechoslovakia industrial company CKD. The paper presents the results of research in which I discovered that it was nationalized CKD did not help. The main blame for this are insensitive, politically motivated interference in the structure of CKD. When CKD is becoming a tool for achieving political goals. Another important reason is the limitation of the market economy and competition. The internal reason is too high wages, which did not correspond with work productivity. At work I perform comparison operations CKD before the war and after nationalization in order to get information on how to lead economically.
